Design Consultation

Although Dathan Tool & Gauge can supply standard gear cutting tools the majority of our products are made bespoke for specific client requirements.

To achieve this we offer a full technical and design consultation service and can get involved at any stage of the project - from designing the actual gear cutting tool from scratch using our unique designed software, to taking an existing product and reverse engineering to ensure gears can be kept in service - even on a 100 year old traction engine!

Working closely with our client's throughout the design process can also result in an improvement in productivity and, more significantly, a reduction in costs.

Design services available as part of the consultation process include:
